Dear Chamber Members,

As I reflect on my first year as President and CEO, I am filled with gratitude for the trust you have placed in me and pride in what we have accomplished together. This has been a year of growth, modernization, and renewed energy for our Chamber — all made possible by your engagement and support.

Over the past twelve months, we have welcomed 140 new members, strengthened the voice and reach of our business community. We streamlined our payment processing to make it easier and faster for members to access Chamber services. We also expanded our programming, hosting a wide range of events — from our advocacy trip to Washington, D.C., to the launch of a brand‑new signature event, The Great Barn Bash, which quickly became a member favorite. Our new “Lunch and Learn” series debuted with Tom Barkin, President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond and will continue in the coming weeks with a session focused on data centers.

This year also marked a historic milestone: the Chamber’s 100th Anniversary. Together, we ushered in a new era with a refreshed logo, a vibrant and user‑friendly website, and a commemorative 100th Anniversary Magazine celebrating a century of business leadership and community impact.
We also strengthened our team by welcoming Makenzie Francis as our new Director of Marketing and Events. Her creativity, energy, and commitment to elevating the member experience are already making a meaningful difference, and we are thrilled to have her on board.
Looking ahead, our momentum continues. Alongside ongoing programs such as Leadership Berkeley, our Monthly Mixers, Rise & Shine Breakfasts, Young Professional events and our Golf Tournament, we have several exciting developments on the horizon:

  • Our new Chamber software is in its final stages, with full integration planned for June. This upgrade will enhance communication, event management, and member services.
  • In August, we will begin a new chapter as we move our offices to the Dunn Building, creating a more accessible and collaborative space for our team and members.
  • And of course, our 100th Anniversary Celebration Dinner will be a night to remember — a moment to honor our past and celebrate the future we are building together.
My commitment remains clear: to cultivate a strong, connected, and forward‑thinking Chamber that delivers vibrant events, valuable resources, and meaningful opportunities for every member. Our community thrives when our businesses thrive, and I am honored to continue this work alongside you.
Thank you for an incredible first year. The best is yet to come.
Best,

Kristie Hadley
