Girl Scouts seek nominations for the 22nd Annual Women of Distinction

Martinsburg, WV — Girl Scout Council of Nation’s Capital is now accepting nominations from individuals, community leaders, business owners, corporations, and the government sector for the 2026 Women of Distinction.
This honor recognizes women from the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia (Berkeley, Jefferson, and Morgan counties) whose outstanding work distinguishes them as excellent leaders and role models for girls. The honorees will be recognized at a special luncheon to be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at the Holiday Inn in Martinsburg, WV.
*Completed nomination forms (attached to this email) should be sent to philanthropy@gscnc.org by Friday, April 24, 2026.

We are delighted that Girl Scouts Nation’s Capital is already in full swing to prepare to honor the women in our region at their annual event, Women of Distinction (WOD). Now in its 21st year, over 50 outstanding women have been honored and recognized. These women are critical community role models for our Girl Scouts. These female leaders lead from their hearts every day and are the epitome of who we are as a community. Women of Distinction will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at the Holiday Inn in Martinsburg, please save the date so you can be with us.
