| WV Secretary of State Kris Warner will be in the eastern panhandle this week visiting two high schools, a local business, and Shepherd University on Wednesday and Thursday, November 19 and 20.
He will be hosting voter education assemblies at Spring Mills High School in Martinsburg and Hedgesville High School in Hedgesville. A voter registration drive will follow.
On Wednesday, Secretary Warner will be presenting the WV Centurion Chamber of Commerce Award to Shepherd University. Members of the Centurion Chamber of Commerce are businesses that have been in business for 100 years or more. SU President Mary Hendrix will accept the Award on behalf of the University.
While visiting the eastern panhandle on Thursday, Secretary Warner will tour the new Commercial Metals Company (CMC) plant. CMC is making a significant investment in West Virginia by constructing a state-of-the-art micro mill in Berkeley County. This $450 million facility will produce 500,000 tons of straight-length and spooled rebar annually.
